CHILDREN’s ministry

During the service

We believe children and families benefit from having a dedicated time of worship together.

That’s why we begin our Sunday worship service with our kids in the worship service. This gives you time as a family to sing and worship. Then, we dismiss our kids to go and continue their worship in an age appropriate way. Below you’ll see what we have available for each age group.

Welcome to the morning Sunday School program for students in grades K – 12! All meet together in the Fellowship Room downstairs at 9:00 AM for a time of worship. Children and youth will then divide into small groups for a short Bible lesson and activity.

Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 9:45 AM

Young children ages 0 to 3 are welcome in our nursery during morning worship services.

Children ages 2 & 3 are invited to listen to a Bible story in the large room of the nursery.

During the morning worship service, children ages 3 to 1st grade are invited to participate in the Children’s Blessing, then go downstairs to the music room for a time of singing together with Mr. Doug DeVries, Minister of Music and Liturgy.

For the remainder of the worship service (after the Children’s Blessing and Choristers), children ages 3 to young 5’s are invited to their classroom for a Bible story and craft, then playtime and a snack.

Children age 5 years to 1st grade are invited to their classroom for their own worship time.

These programs are for students in 2nd – 8th grade. Students will meet in separate Cadet and GEMS groups for a lesson. The evening finishes with a shared experience (eg, string art, baking, leather crafts, woodworking, gym, etc.)

1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM
