Young children ages 0 to 3 are welcome in our nursery during the morning worship service. You may drop them off before the worship service begins or drop them off halfway through when the other children are dismissed to their classrooms. In the nursery, children will be supervised by safety trained volunteers and enjoy playing with toys and interacting with other kids their age.
During the morning worship service, children ages 3 to 1st grade are invited to participate in the Children’s Blessing, then go downstairs to the music room for a time of singing with Mr. Doug DeVries, the Minister of Music and Liturgy.
After this, students split into different age groups for times of Bible study and crafts.
Praise and play
This is the class for children 3 years old through Preschool. They are invited into a classroom for a Bible story and craft. Then, they transition to the play room for a time of free play and snack. This class is run by two safety trained adult volunteers.
Parents are able to pick up their children from the play classroom at the end of the morning worship service.
Children and Worship
This is the class for children in Kindergarten and 1st grade. The children in this class engage in a Bible story, response time, and snack time. The goal of this class is to mimic the order of a church worship service at an age appropriate level. This class is run by two safety trained adult volunteers.
Parents are able to pick up their children from the Children and Worship classroom at the end of the morning worship service.
CADETS & GEMS
These programs are for students in 2nd through 8th grade. They meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 6:30PM to 8:00PM. Students start as a big group for welcome and scripture reading and then split into separate Cadet and GEMS groups for a short lesson time. The evening finishes with an activity time all together. The activities include, but are not limited to, string art, baking, derby car building, woodworking, and gym time.
